Description:
This Missing Man formation memorialized pilot Gerald "Bud" Bodding, known as "Father Goose". Bodding started as a pilot in 1939. He flew for Ellis Air Transport before joining the Navy in 1941. After the war, he returned to Ellis, flying Grumman Goose amphibians for decades until retiring in the early 1970s. He passed away at the age of 88 in 2006.
