Ralph Yetka's U.S. Coast Guard Name Plate

A 1964 graduate of the Coast Guard Academy, Ralph Yetka first came to Ketchikan as an Ensign on the USCG Cutter Bittersweet. After a helicopter ride with Ken Eichner, he was inspired to attend Naval Flight Training in Florida. Yetka and his family returned to Ketchikan in 1974. He worked for TEMSCO for 14 years. A scholarship in his name honors his memory.
