SPOT is a worldwide personal beacon that alerts rescue personnel in an emergency situation. The Ketchikan Volunteer Rescue Squad offers free SPOTs for loan from the library and the Ketchikan Visitors Center. Borrowers are asked to note their travel plans. This plan is essential during search and rescue operations.
