The Ketchikan Alaska Chronicle noted that "these three hunters 'brought home the bacon' in the form of a huge moose last week, after a successful trip to the Chickamin River. The animal yielded 703 pounds of meat, 22 pounds of liver. Lucky hunters left to right are Art Almquist, logging camp operator; Cliff Hogue, Ketchikan Air Service pilot and Abe Lokke, logging camp operator."
