Title:
Brass Trolling Spoon Blank, 1900-1977
Description:
Many early trollers would make their own spoons using mallets and a hardwood mold or a smoothed rock to shape the spoon. Annealing the thin metal in a campfire or stove maintained the desired shape. Manufacturers in British Columbia and Washington State began mass producing trolling spoons in great numbers in the 1920s.
