Title:
Tollers and Seiners at City Float, circa 1915
Photographer:
David Nicoll
Description:
Until Thomas Basin was developed in the 1920s, City Float was the town's only public moorage. The wear and tear on boat hulls as they jostled together in the crowded moorage must have been phenomenal. Most of the boats in this photo are seiners and launches, with a few trollers visible, as well.
