Title:
Copper Halibut Hook
Description:
Longliners fishing for halibut in Alaskan waters used "J" shaped hooks for nearly hundred years. In the 1980s a tuna fisherman from California introduced the circle hook. The impact on the halibut fishery was immediate once the fleet adapted the new hooks.
