Ketchikan's Commercial Fishing Traditions: A Community Slideshow

The exhibit First in Fish: Ketchikan's Commercial Fishing Traditions displayed February 28 - September 27, 2014 at the Tongass Historical Museum. The exhibit presented a brief history of Ketchikan's vibrant commercial fishing industry - the methods, vessels, and gear used in Southern Southeast Alaska throughout time. These traditions were brought into the present through an immensely popular slideshow of photographs and stories shared by those who commercial fish today. The community slideshow featured in the 2014 exhibit is showcased here.
