Handmade Bowl from Empty Bowls Fundraiser
Jill Mandt

For individuals and families facing homelessness, Ketchikan is an especially difficult place. Housing costs are high and the rain is unrelenting much of the year. Non-profit First City Homeless Services addresses this critical need with a day shelter and a seasonal overnight warming center. Their ever popular Empty Bowls fundraiser features handmade ceramic bowls made by volunteers and soups provided by local chefs.
