Around 1930, O. B. Skidmore opened this grocery store at 1828 Tongass Avenue under his own name. It became the White Cliff Market in 1940 and operated through 1956. His & Hairz and a parking lot now occupy the site. In the distance, Austin Tower (now Tongass Tower) can be seen under construction.
