Wayne Sievers rides "Lightning" as store manager Bob Meyers looks on. Waiting to ride are, left to right, Linda Clark, Kathy Hagevig, and Sandra Baker. The Ketchikan Daily News reported, "Mothers now can look forward to a quick shopping tour through the store while junior, who has raided his piggy bank of dimes, enjoys a 10-cent ride on the one and only horse in town." Tongass Trading operated the grocery store in their main building on Front and Dock Streets.
