Description:
KABI Radio, owned by Aurora Broadcasters, Inc., went on the air in Ketchikan on December 17, 1952. The station's 315-foot-high transmission tower was located just north of Rotary Beach.

KABI's downtown office and studio was in the Heckman building, in the offices formerly occupied by the Alaska Communications Service.
