Photographer:
Paulu T. Saari
Description:
Ketchikan Daily News article, January 29, 1953
"Heavy Snow Fall Covers Ketchikan
These wintery scenes of Ketchikan were taken during a brief moment when the sun came out Tuesday afternoon during the heaviest snowfall of the year. The photo at the left shows boats at the city float covered with snow which caused concern among the boat owners. Cars parked near the American Can company building on Tongass avenue are virtually snowbound in the second picture. The third scene shows the city float and part of' Ketchikan with Deer mountain in the background.
The center float has been identified by Lyle Simpson as being Northern Machine Works float."
