Then & Now : A community photography exhibit connecting Ketchikan's past to the present through the recreation of historic photos
Title:
Rotary Beach Swimmers
Description:
Continued good weather well into September encourages outdoor activities for the whole family at Rotary Beach south of town, formerly known as Bugge Beach. Ongoing work by First City Rotary, Rotary 2000, and the Ketchikan Gateway Borough keep this site a year—round favorite of locals. New stairs and an access ramp, tree removal and rock wall extensions, and repair and dredging of the "swimming pool" (pictured) are some of the most recent improvements locals and visitors enjoyed during the summer of 2015.
