Then & Now : A community photography exhibit connecting Ketchikan's past to the present through the recreation of historic photos
Title:
Main Street Motors
Description:
"We wanted to do a picture with the State Farm office staff and looked for one with an automobile because of the insurance connection. This picture we chose is of the first automobile in Ketchikan, and I happen to own the first Kymco maxi—scooter in town, so it seemed fitting to cram all of us on the bike at what I think is the same part of Main Street as the originalIt's our best office photo yet!"
— Lallette Kistler

Museum note: The original 1911 photo features the home and office of
Dr. J.L. Meyers, the current location of the Ketchikan Arts Council at
330 Main Street.
