Then & Now : A community photography exhibit connecting Ketchikan's past to the present through the recreation of historic photos
Title:
Front Street
Description:
"Working at the Museum affords me the luxury of viewing our image collection often. No matter how many times I see them, there are images in the Ketchikan Museums collection that I always pause to examine them longer. I often try to mentally place current Ketchikan in the historic image. This image of Front Street with the focus on the wooden street always catches me. I thought it would be fun to take one of my favored images and look at the location today. It is such a separation through time but still recognizable as the same location.

If you want to look at images in the Museums' photograph collection make an appointment with Museum staff. We are also working hard to make more of the images available online, stay tuned!"
