Description:
This photo was taken during the 1951 Fourth of July parade, from a window in the Federal Building. At that time, Mill Street ended at Main, and Dock Street ended at Bawden. The only through street from the waterfront was Mission Street, which intersected with Stedman at the Chief Johnson totem pole. Today, Mill Street is the thoroughfare.
