Photographer:
Paulu T. Saari
Description:
In 1953, Gaffney's old store at 502 Water Street was demolished to make way for construction of the tunnel and waterfront arterial. The store reopened in the McCaw building, 343 Main Street.
In 1959 the owners bought Hattrick's Men's Store on Mission Street at Bawden and moved to that location. In 1970, they were again displaced, this time by the Barney Way urban renewal project.
