Description:
We are Responsible
"A place is only as good as the people you know in it. It's the people that make the place."
In Ketchikan, we have a deep sense of responsibility for one another. We show up, whether it is for a worthy cause at a local fundraiser, volunteer work, or the health and safety of our community.
We come together to make our voices heard at City Council meetings, to march in solidarity, to honor those who give, to mourn loved ones, and to celebrate new love and new life.
We sustain our community by being accountable to one another. We are made stronger by recognizing our failings. We have a responsibility to acknowledge our past because it shapes our present, and will allow us to move forward together.
