This vest is made from wool felt, leather, seed beads, and abalone and mother of pearl buttons. Carlson uses traditional formline design with a vibrant and contemporary color palette.

The Raven/Dog Salmon design on the front of the vest is made with purple leather appliqué and represents Carlson's clan crest and moiety. Raven is incorporated into the design of the two Dog Salmon swimming upward. The back of the vest depicts an updated version of Carlson's Raven crest, designed by Miilgm Ts'amtii, Michael Milne. The cotton lining displays a repeating pattern designed by Carlson, a formline eye with a salmon trout head inside. The vest was created during the Mixed-Level Regalia class taught by Aanchgwanutk, Janice L. Jackson, in 2024.

"I follow tradition but push the limits with color. I truly believe our ancestors would be using every color available to them. I love to add colors. I start with the colors I like (pink and purple) and go from there. The leather applique was new for me. I haven't seen it before and wanted to give it a try. I look at this now and I'm really proud of it. For anyone who knows me, this is me in a piece, completely."
